Scherer, Laverne (13 MAY 1939)

Miss Laverne Scherer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.J. Scherer of Neenah, and Walter Strohkirch, son of Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Strohkirch of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), were quietly united in marriage at Dubuque, Ia., on Tuesday, May 13, 1939, according to announcements made by the young couple this week. The contracting parties were attended by Miss Delphane Stephen and Louis Schnelley, both of Wausau, Wis.

Miss Scherer for the past several months has been employed as sales lady in the Schlegel variety store of this city, and in that time made many friends, all of whom wish for her a happy wedded life.

After the wedding the young couple returned here for a short visit with relatives and friends. They will make their home in Wausau, where the groom has purchased a new home. They will be at home to their friends after June 20, at Wausau, Wis.
