Meyer, Audrey (Marriage - 1 Aug. 1940)

Wearing a gown of white satin with lace yoke and a long lace-edged veil with a pearl and orange blossom tiara, Miss Audrey Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Meyer of Dorchester, Wis., became the bride of Melvin Krueger, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Krueger of Curtiss, in a ceremony performed at St. Peter’s Lutheran church in Dorchester last Thursday afternoon, Rev. M. C. Goetsch reading the double-ring service. The bride’s flowers were roses and babies breath combined with ferns.

The bride’s sisters, Mildred and Dolores, were in the bridal party with the former serving as maid of honor. Arnold Krueger of Curtiss was best man and Garret Krueger of Columbus was groomsman.

The bride’s attendants wore light blue and carnation pink gowns of Calanese rayon and sheer veils with flower headdresses.

A five o’clock dinner was served at the home of the bride’s parents which was decorated with white, blue and pink streamers for the occasion. Covers were laid for 120 guests. Those present from a distance included Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thomson and Miss Bernice Tesmer of Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Carsten Sievers and son, Roger, of Eagle River, Miss Leona Lorenzen of Milwaukee, Betty, Donald, Arthur, Vernon, James and Eugene Schultz of Walworth and Mrs. Herman Lorenzen and children, Clifford and Doris of Embarrass, Wis. In the evening a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.

Mr. and Mrs. Krueger are residing at Colby, Wis.
