Pleasant Ridge - by Mrs. Lewis Scholtz

Little Miss Nancy Huckstead, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Huckstead, was vaccinated for smallpox and some time ago, which has made her very sick.

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Korth and Frank Scholtz, were at Marshfield last Tuesday, a week ago.

Dale Short is now stationed at Comcha Field near San Angeles, Texas.

Lowell Huckstead phoned the Harold Huckstead home Saturday night from Chicago. He was on his way to an air base in Kentucky.

Misses Virginia Scholtz and Enice Knoops spent a weekend recently at Chicago.

Mrs. Clarion Counsell went to Eau Claire Friday to get her son, Lee, who is attending college there.

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Short and daughter, Jeanette, and Mrs. Alfred Magnuson spent a weekend recently at Milwaukee. Mr. and Mrs. James Hughes accompanied them as far as Oconomowoc. On this trip they saw a flock of 4,000 turkeys near Watertown.

Mr. and Mrs. James West spent Sunday evening at the Donald Hughes Home.

Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kernz visited over the weekend in Minnesota.

Mrs. Lill Howard spent Saturday and Sunday at the Ed Selves home.

Mrs. Clarion Counsell and son, Lee, and Grandma Timmler spent Saturday at Marshfield.

Mrs. Harold Huckstead enjoyed a visit with her brother, Douglas Loomis, and mother, Mrs. Loomis, a few days last week.
