Lindekugel, Paul (18 Sept. 1913 - 13 May 2005)

Paul William Lindekugel, 91, passed away Friday, May 13, 2005 at Sunny Ridge Nursing Home. Paul was born Sept. 18, 1913 in Loyal, Wisconsin, to the late William and Delia (Stelzen) Lindekugel. He attended local schools. He served in the U.S. Army from 1943 until 1946. During World War II, he served in the European Theater.

On June 10, 1939, he married Elsie Buss; she preceded him in death in January of 1995. He was employed by the Kohler Company, in the foundry, for 32 years, retiring in 1978, achieving the Quarter Century Club.

Paul was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Sheboygan.

In addition to his special friend, June Winter, Paul is survived by his son, Allan (Karen) Lindekugel of Sheboygan Falls; his daughters, Pauline (Marvin) Barts of Sheboygan, Etta Mae (Joe) Harrison of Cascade and Nancy (Hugh) Mahlendorf of Princeton, Mo. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and his brother, Victor (Helen) Lindekugel of Oshkosh. He was preceded in death by four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sister, Marie Dahl; brother, Robert Lindekugel and a daughter-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, May 16, at 7 p.m., at Zimmer’s Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center (Highway 42 and JJ). The Rev. Dr. Steven J. Pedersen, pastor of Zion U.C.C., will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4 p.m. until the time of service.

A military tribute will be conducted by Plymouth V.F.W. Post 5612 following the service. Burial will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sunny Ridge Nursing Home and St. Nicholas Hospice for the care that was given to Paul. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
