Fuller, William Densmore (1 Mar. 1859 - 4 Aug. 1939)

William Densmore Fuller, who had been ill with a heart ailment for three weeks, died at his farm home in the town of Hull Friday evening at 8:25. Funeral services were held at the Colby M. E. church Monday afternoon at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. Harry Lee officiating, and internment was made in the Colby cemetery beside his wife. Miss Bauer, Miss B. Berry and C. A. Nelsen assisted with the singing. Pall bearers were Oscar Case, Ned Sterling, Ray Blanchard, Wm. Yost, Ed. Dehne and H. J. Wiedenhoeft. Those in charge of the flowers were Marjorie Beawer, Irene Beawer, grand daughters, and Henrietta Klein, a great grand daughter.

Mr. Fuller was born at Genoa Junction, now Genoa City, Wisconsin, the son of Joseph and Mary Ann Fuller on March 1st, 1859, thus reaching the age of 80 years, five months and three days. He was united in marriage to Emma Belle Manor on December 8, 1880, at Genoa City. To this union five children were born, three sons and two daughters. The fall of 1897, he and his wife and three sons moved to Colby to the farm where he passed away. His wife passed away ten years ago and one son, Nelson, also preceded him in death.

He leaves to mourn his loss two sons and two daughters. They are J. Frank Fuller of Burlington, Wisconsin, W. E. Fuller of California, Mrs. Wm. Beawer (Zoa), at home, and Mrs. Chas. Smart (Mary) of Colby. Also fourteen grand children and four great grand children.

The deceased was a good Christian, honest in all his dealings, a kind husband and father and a good neighbor. Like all our pioneers, he had excellent habits and he continued to be active in his accustomed pursuits till long past the age at which men ordinarily drop out of the ranks of the workers.

Those from out of town here for the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J. Frank Fuller, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Klein and daughters, Henriette and Annette of Burlington, Wis., Mrs. Myrtle Coppersmith and John Nimm of Unity and Mrs. Anna Wagner and son of Cadott, Wis.
