Frook, Alice P. (4 Dec. 1914 - 3 Feb. 2005)

Alice P. Frook, 90, formerly of 83 E. Follett St., a resident of Grancare Nursing Center since Dec. 10, 2004, died Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at St. Agnes Hospital.

Alice was born on Dec. 4, 1914, in Colby, Wis., the daughter of Conrad and Anna Tesmer Orth. On April 18, 1936, she married Walter F. Frook in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in July 1952.

Alice was employed at Sharpe Clinic for 26 years as a receptionist and bookkeeper. She was a member of Holy Family-St. Patrick’s Parish for over 50 years and was a past member of the Altar Society.

Alice enjoyed fishing, bingo, gambling and football, and she loved her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include a daughter, Jo Ann (Jerald) Hohler of North Fond du Lac; a son, David (Joyita) Frook of Odessa, Fla.; five grandchildren, Julie Neefe of Ripon, Joseph Hohler and his fiancee, Wendy of Las Vegas, Nev., Anthony (Martha) Frook of Shawnee, Kan., David W. (Ronda) Frook of Paddock Lake, Wis., Tina (J.) Smith of Land O’Lakes, Fla.; nine great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph (Doris) Orth of Lakeland, Fla.; and a sister, Jeanette Chamberland of Mount Vernon, Ill.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, four brothers and two sisters.

Services: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at Holy Family-St. Patrick’s Parish. The Rev. John Radetski will officiate. Entombment will follow at the Chapel of the Risen Christ Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.

Visitation: Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at the funeral home.

Memorials are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
