Tramm, Dorothea (Marriage - 25 July 1942)
Miss Dorothea Tramm, Neillsville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Beyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Beyer, Jr., of the town of Weston, were united in marriage at two p.m. July 25 at St. John’s Lutheran Church of Neillsville, the Rev. William A. Baumann performing the double ring ceremony. Erich Sievert played the wedding march. Preceding the ceremony, Mrs. Baumann sang "Oh Perfect Love."
The bride was dressed in a gown of white slipper satin, fashioned with a train. The long veil fell from a tiara of seed pearls. The wedding ensemble was the one worn by her sister, Mrs. Glen Mund, at her wedding a few weeks ago. The groom’s gift a string of pearls, was worn about her neck. Her bouquet consisted of white roses with ribbon showers.
Miss Eileen Tramm, sister of the bride, gowned in pink, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Miss Doris Wegner, a friend, and Miss Louise Ott, a cousin of the bride. They bridesmaids were blue and peach, respectively. All of the attendants carried Colonial bouquets.
George Beyer, Athens, a cousin of the groom, was his best man, while Leonard Thiede, Granton, and Dale Hake, Neillsville, acted as ushers.
The mothers of the bride and groom were dressed in pink.
A wedding reception was held at the home of Mr. Beyer’s parents were 85 guests were assembled. The house decorations were pink, white and blue streamers. The white wedding bell which hung over the dinner table was the one used at the bride’s mother’s wedding.
The bride attended St. John’s Lutheran School, being confirmed from St. John’s Church in this city. She was graduated from the Neillsville High School with the class of 1942. Since her graduation she had been employed in this city. The groom is a young farmer, being employed by his father.
Out of town guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Otto Tramm, Hayward, the parents of the bride; Ewald Beyer, Wausau; Mrs. Vinton Brovan, Spooner; Mr. and Mrs. John H. Olson and family, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Mund, Rockford, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Herman Beyer and family, Athens; Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Scherholtz, Chicago and Miss Alice Tiede, Granton.
