Kopp, Wolfgang (9 DEC 1853 - 2 DEC 1938)

Wolfgang Kopp, pioneer of the town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis.), passed away at his farm home two and a half miles west of the village at 1:30 o’clock on Friday, Dec. 2, 1938, death being due to old age complications.

Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday afternoon from the home and the Reform and Evangelical Church, the Rev. Siegfried Schmeicher officiating. Burial was made on the family lot in the Lutheran Church Cemetery (Curtiss).

Pallbearers were John Anderson, Albert Phillips, Ed Anderson, Marcus Hermanson, Albert Bakke and Ed Peterson. In charge of floral tributes were Mrs. Ed Peterson, Mrs. Ernest Mowery and Mrs. Albert Phillips.

Mr. Kopp was born in Bavaria, Germany on Dec. 9, 1853. He was married on July 26, 1894, to Marie Boehm. He has lived on his present farm for over 50 years.

Surviving are his wife, three sons, Rudolph, town of Green Grove, Harry at Home, Franklin of Fairbanks, Alaska; one daughter, Erma, at home. A brother, John Kopp, lives in Los Angeles, Calif.

Mr. Kopp was a quiet home loving man, highly respected by his neighbors and friends.
