Lulloff, Lewis (25 Jan. 1866 - 28 Feb. 1939)

Lewis Lulloff of Curtiss died at the LeGault hospital at Owen at the age of 75 years, pneumonia being the cause of his death. Funeral services will be held at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby Saturday afternoon, Rev. Anderson of Curtiss officiating, and internment will be made in the Green Grove cemetery. The body is lying in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Lewis Lulloff whose death was reported last week, were held at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby Saturday, Rev. W. L. Anderson officiating, and internment was made in the Green Grove cemetery. Pall bearers were George Hoff, Fred Laabs, Fred Richter, Albert Smith, Alfred Erickson and Franklin Tonn. Rev. Anderson also rendered a few vocal selections accompanied by Ethel Erickson at the piano.

The deceased was born in Germany January 25th, 1866, and died February 28, 1939, thus reaching the age of 73 years, one month and three days. He came to the United States in 1868 and lived in Iowa until thirteen years of age when he moved to this locality. He lived on a farm in Green Grove township until about eighteen years ago when he moved to the village of Curtiss where he lived since. He was married to Lena Miller in Green Grove in 1894.

The deceased is survived by two sons, Bernard and Fred of Owen, and one daughter, Mrs. Herman Buss of Curtiss, Wis. Also sixteen grand children. His wife died May 23, 1932. One daughter, Mrs. Axel Rued, also preceded him in death.

His sudden death was quite a shock to his many friends in Curtiss and town of Green Grove for he had been ill with the flu only two days.
