Henry A. Marty, 89, of Marshfield died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2007, at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen, Wis.

Henry A. "Hank" Marty, 89, of Marshfield died at the Clark County Health Care Center in Owen on Sept. 27, 2007.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Rozellville. The Rev. Thomas J. Rudolph will officiate and St. Andrew’s Folk Choir will provide the music for the service. Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Cemetery and grandchildren will serve as pallbearerThe visitation will be from 10 a.m. until time of service on Monday at St. Andrew’s church in Rozellville.

Rembs/Kundinger Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Mr. Marty was born Aug. 11, 1918, to John and Maria (Lenhart) Marty in the town of Green Valley, Marathon County. He was a lifelong resident of the Rozellville area where he was engaged in farming before moving to the city of Marshfield.

He was united in marriage to Marie Andres on Aug. 6, 1940, at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. She passed away on August 14, 1963. He later married Mildred F. Regner on Jan. 15, 1966, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Wisconsin Rapids.

Hank is survived by his wife, Mildred of Marshfield, and children, Ann (Ron) Domres of Stratford and Melvin (Judy) Marty of Marshfield. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Thomas Oertel, Debra Oertel Sandau, Michelle Marty Fitzgerald, Becky Marty and Scott Marty; three great-grandchildren, Jeffrey William Oertel, Macy Kristina Fitzgerald and Jordyn Marie Fitzgerald; two step-grandchildren, Dawn (Kim) Fredrick and Ronald Domres Jr.; and a step-grandson, Adam Fredrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Marie; a son, Richard Marty in 1971; a granddaughter, Kristina Marty in 1995; three sisters, Mary Kress, Susan Senski and Rose Fenton Nevel; and a brother, John Marty.

In lieu of flowers the family will designate a memorial at a later date.
