Kramer, Fern (Marriage - 24 June 1938)

Miss Fern Kramer, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Kramer, and Mr. Arthur Halverson were married at Zion Lutheran church Friday, June 24th, at 1:45 o’clock, Rev. O. Hoffmann reading the marriage ceremony. Mrs. George Ives was bridesmaid and Miss Genevieve Eggebrecht was maid of honor. The groom was attended by George Ives of Marshfield and Willis Hafeman of Colby.

The bride was attired in a beautiful floor length dress of white chiffon, reginate fashion, yellow velray appliqué with a circular veil of white silk tulle held with a bandeau of yellow flowers. Her bouquet consisted of white peonies and yellow sweet peas. The bridesmaid wore a dress of nile green georgette and her shoulder corsage consisted of roses and sweet peas. The maid of honor wore a dress of peach georgette and her shoulder corsage also consisted of roses and sweet peas. Mrs. Ives and Miss Eggebrecht wore veils matching their floor length gowns and white accessories.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents where a six o’clock dinner was served. The home was nicely decorated with lighted tapers and yellow and white streamers and a wedding cake decorated the table.

The couple will be at home at the home of the bride’s parents. The groom is employed as mechanic by R. J. Weix.

Out of town people here for the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sieger of Kennan, Mrs. Henry Fiebig and daughter of Kennan, Mr. and Mrs. John Kroening and family and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Kroening and family of Fenwood, Mrs. Gladys Pogney of Wausau, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Sper of Medford, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Halverson of Stetsonville, Miss Genevieve Eggebrecht and Mr. and Mrs. George Ives of Marshfield.
