Enhelder, Grace E. (Marriage - 15 July 1942)

Miss Grace E. Enhelder, daughter of Mrs. Clara Enhelder, Neillsville, and Henry Edwin Griep, son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Griep were united in marriage at 8:30 p.m. last Wednesday, July 15th, at the Griep home in this city, the Rev. William A. Baumann of St. John’s Lutheran Church performing the sing-ring ceremony in the presence of about forty guests.

The church was decorated with pink, blue and white streamers, candles and roses.

The bride wore a beige suit with brown and white accessories and a corsage of red roses. Miss Pearl Elaine Griep, a sister of the groom, was the maid of honor. She wore a street length dress of blue violet. Miss Doreen Griep, a cousin of the groom, who acted as bridesmaid, wore a red, white and blue pique dress, both wearing rose corsages. Ezra Pairer, a friend, acted as best man while Donald Gripe, the groom’s brother, was the usher.

The mothers of the bride and groom wore navy blue silk prink and dusty rose silk crepe, respectively, both wearing rose corsages.

The bride was graduated from the Neillsville High School. She worked for a time as a waitress in the local restaurants for some time past being employed by the Roddis Company of Marshfield. The groom, who also was employed at the Roddis plant, now in the U. S. Army, attended the Granton High School.

Out of town guests who were present for the wedding, are: Mr. R. O. Hales, wife and granddaughter, Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Griep and family, Granton; the bride’s twin sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Reimer, of Christie; Mr. and Mrs. Glen Marden, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Bandt and family, Mrs. W. A. Baumann and daughter, Grace, Doris and Bonnie May Griep.
