Gonyo, Mrs. L.E. (1890 - 1 MAY 1938)

Friends of Mrs. L.E. Gonyo were deeply sorrowed Sunday of this week when they learned of the passing away of a dearly beloved friend.

Mrs. Gonyo passed away at 9:30 Sunday morning, May 1st, 1938, at the Legault Hospital where she had undergone an operation for gall stones on Monday, April 18th.

Mrs. Gonyo was 48 years old a the time of her death, being born at Berlin, Wis., in the year 1890. Although Mr. and Mrs. Gonyo have been residents of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) since a year ago in March they have won the friendship and love of many. Mrs. Gonyo was very active in the women’s circles. Mrs. Gonyo’s love and devotion to his wife was unlimited and to him the sympathy of the community is extended in his bereavement. Besides her husband Mrs. Gonyo leaves to mourn, two sisters, Miss Clara Pardy and Mrs. J.P. Broecker of Milwaukee.

Funeral services were held Tuesday morning, May 3, from the Holy Rosary Church, Owen, with Father Brady officiating at the service. Interment was made in the Oakwood Cemetery at Berlin.

Pallbearers at the service were: John Bornhofen, Wm. Doonan, W.J. Mahoney, G. Becker, Stanley Michlowski, and H.B. Mauel.

Those from out of the city attending the services were: Mr. and Mrs. Ed Killian and Mrs. Andrew Flasher, Mrs. John Broecker, Mrs. K. Luzenski, and Mrs. August Lake, all of Milwaukee.
