Shupe, Elsie (Marriage - 9 Nov. 1940)

Christmas day is a time of happy surprises. The family of Miss Elsie Shupe was given a real one when at a gathering on Christmas Day Elsie told them of her marriage on November 9, 1939, at Dubuque, Iowa, to Mr. George Ziemendorf. Mr. Ziemendorf was present to gladly verify her statement just in case the surprised family needed verification. Elsie's sister and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Hastings had been previously informed.

Elsie is the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Shupe and has lived all her life in Loyal and vicinity. She is a graduate of the Loyal High School and also of a Milwaukee Beauty Culture School. Elsie possesses the qualities that made her many friends all of whom wish for her and the man of her choice a long life of useful happiness.

Mr. Ziemendorf is not known to many Loyal people, those who have that privilege speak words of praise for him as a likable, industrious young man. Mr. Ziemendorf has employment in Wisconsin Rapids.
