Nicholson, Ella C. (20 OCT 1937)

A pretty ceremony united in marriage Miss Ella C. Nicholson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Nicholson of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), and Howard R. Newman, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. Newman of Owen, Wednesday morning, Oct. 20, 1937, at 11 o’clock. The wedding took place at the Union Chapel, Rev. P.F. Pfaffman performing the ceremony.

The Chapel was decorated in blue and white streamers. Miss Orpha Hull sang "I Love You Truly" and "Blest Be the Tie That Binds," accompanied by Miss Mary Pfaffman at the piano.

The bride wore an afternoon frock of cocktail blue with gray accessories. Miss Merle Ott, her bridesmaid, wore an afternoon frock of pale pink with matching accessories.

Harris Newman, brother of the groom, was his attendant.

A lovely dinner was served at one o’clock at the groom’s home. About 30 guests being present. The home was decorated with blue and white streamers.

The newly married couple will make their home on a farm north of Withee where they are employed.
