Haas, Dorothy (7 JUL 1938)

Dorothy Haas, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Haas, and Kenneth Butterfield, Stanley, son of Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Butterfield, were married by Father Wallace in Stanley, Thursday morning, July 7th, 1938.

They were attended by Alvera and Henry Haas, sister and brother of the bride.

The bride wore a silver and blue satin dress with a shoulder bouquet of pink roses and blue forget-me-nots. Her attendant wore a yellow and white satin dress with a shoulder bouquet of pink roses and yellow daisies. The groom was dressed in a dark suit and his attendant wore dark grey.

A reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents where about forty people were served. A wedding dance was held in the evening at the Thorp Legion Hall.

The couple left on Friday for a trip. After their return they will live in Stanley where the groom is employed.
