Barry, Esther (21 MAY 1938)

Before the altar of St. Michael’s Church in Milwaukee, Wis., Miss Esther Barry, daughter of Mr. Patrick Barry, N. Forty-Third St., Milwaukee, and Edward Pawlak, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Pawlak of Thorp, Clark Co., Wis., exchanged vows at 9:00, Saturday morning, May 21st, 1938.

The bride’s wedding gown was of white satin, with white pearl beads, sewed in the material around the neckline and on the cuff of the sleeves. The veil was white mesh with a simple crown of orange blossoms. She carried a bouquet of white roses, white snapdragons and baby’s breath.

The bride’s attendants were, her sister, Eileen Catherin Husting of Milwaukee and Alice Anyzewski of Thorp, Wis., who acted as maid of honor. Their gowns were simply made from dotted Swiss material, with full skirts, and large puffed sleeves. Their head pieces were a cluster of white roses in the hair. They carried small colonial bouquets of pink and white roses.

Roman Anyzewski of Minneapolis, acted as best man, Leonard Barry of St. Paul and Richard Weatherall of Milwaukee, as ushers.

The Eagles Club was the scene of the reception, which was attended by many relatives and close friends. of the bride and groom.
