Schjoneman, Ernest E. (17 Feb. 1910 - 15 Aug. 1968)

Unity, Wis. - Ernest E. Schjoneman, 58, Coos Bay, Ore., a former resident of Unity, died Thursday in the Veteran’s Hospital at Portland, Ore., where he had been a patient for one year.

Military services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby. The Rev. Robert Sutherland will officiate, and burial will be made in the Trinity Lutheran cemetery at Unity.

The body will repose at the funeral home from noon Monday until the time of services.

Mr. Schjoneman was born Feb. 17, 1910, in the town of Brighton, Marathon County, and received his education in the Unity schools. He enlisted in the armed services in World War II.

For the past 20 years he had resided in Oregon and had been employed as a millwright for a lumber company. He never married.

He was a member of the Lutheran church.

Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Edith Schjoneman, Unity; three sisters, Mrs. Edwin (Hazel) Witt, Colby; Mrs. Robert (Verna) Kester, Wisconsin Rapids; and Mrs. James (Norma) Liebelt, Myrtle Point, Ore.; and a brother, Gordon Schjoneman, Coos Bay, Ore.

His father preceded him in death.
