Konwinski, Stella (17 JUL 1937)

Mr. John Holewinski and Miss Stella Konwinski, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Konwinski of the town of Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), were united in marriage by Rev. F.A. Kulig at an eight o’clock nuptial mass at St. Hedwig’s Church, Saturday morning, July 17th, 1937. The couple was attended by Walter Ciolkosz, as best man and Miss Emily Wehlasc, bridesmaid. The bride was attired in a white silk satin gown with a blended Juliet cap held with a tulle veil. She carried a bouquet of white carnations, roses and forget-me-nots. Her bridesmaid wore a blue taffeta gown and carried a bouquet of tea roses, snapdragons and forget-me-nots. The groom wore the conventional blue, his attendants wore grey suits. Mr. Marion Herman and Miss Theresa Herman were the second attending couple, Miss Herman also wearing a blue taffeta dress. Matron of honor, Miss Irene Tomczak of Chicago, niece of the groom, wore a black chiffon dress with bouquet of roses and carnations. The flower girls, Theresa Konwinski and Henrietta Filipek, wore peach color dresses and carried baskets of roses, carnations and snapdragons.

After the wedding ceremony a reception was held to about fifty guests at the home of the bride’s parents throughout the day and evening.

Guests from out of town were Tony Tomczak, daughter, Irene and son, Edmond, Mr. and Mrs. John Okonski and family, Frank Orzkowski, of Chicago, Mr. and Mrs. John Herman and family, and Frank Wilcenski and family, of Gilman.
