Fink, Mabel Martha (Marriage - 29 Jan. 1936)

A very pretty double ring wedding was solemnized at Zion Evangelical Lutheran church at Colby Wednesday afternoon, January 29, 1936, at 2:00 o’clock, Rev. O. J. Hoffmann performing the marriage ceremony, when Miss Mabel Martha Fink, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis F. Fink, became the bride of Mr. Louis E. Schulz, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Schulz of the town of Colby, Wisconsin. The bride was attended by her cousin, Eleanor Wiegman, as bridesmaid and the groom was attended by his brother, Perry Schulz, as groomsman.

The bride was attired in an ankle length gown of Nassau blue transparent velvet, trimmed with gold, with hat to match, and accessories of navy blue. She carried a shower bouquet of Bicliff roses, carnations and babies breath. Miss Wiegman wore an ankle length gown of wine transparent velvet, similar to that of the bride, with matching turban and gloves and brown slippers. Her corsage bouquet consisted of roses and narcisses.

Following the ceremony, a wedding reception was held for the immediate families at the home of the bride’s parents, covers being laid for twenty-five at a 4:30 o’clock supper. The home was nicely decorated in blue and gold crepe paper streamers and flowers for the occasion.

The newlyweds will leave on a wedding trip to points in Northern Wisconsin and will be at home after February 15th.
