Henkel, Carol (Marriage - 23 Sept. 1935)

A pretty fall wedding took place Monday morning at 8:30 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic church of Colby when Miss Carol Henkel, daughter of Charles Henkel of the town of Hull, became the bride of Marcellus Foster, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Foster, of the town of Colby. Rev. L. J. Lang performed the marriage ceremony. Miss Dolores Will of Stevens Point, cousin of the groom, acted as bridesmaid and Cornelius Foster, brother of the groom, was best man.

The bride was attired in a brown suit with brown accessories and her shoulder bouquet consisted of yellow roses. Miss Will wore a blue ensemble with matching accessories and her shoulder bouquet consisted of pink roses.

A reception and dinner for the immediate families was held at the Henkel home which was nicely decorated with fall flowers for the occasion. Later the couple departed for Park Falls where the groom is employed and where they will reside.

Out of town guests included Mrs. Jack Hobelsberger and daughter, Shirley May, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Zimmer, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Will and Miss Mary Engelbeck of Marshfield and Miss Dolores Will of Stevens Point.
