Vaughn, Charles (17 July 1870 - 16 Sept. 1935)

Charles Vaughn died at the Marshfield, Wisconsin hospital Monday at the age of sixty-five years as a result of injuries sustained when he fell from a load of hay at his farm near Unity last week Tuesday. Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist Episcopal church at Unity, today, Thursday, at 2:00 P.M., Rev. C. Paul Nulton officiating and internment will be made in the Brighton cemetery.

The deceased was born at Sun Prairie on July 17, 1870, and came to the town of Unity with his parents at the age of ten and has lived on the same farm since that time. He was at one time a rural mail carrier and had been a member of the Odd Fellows lodge for over twenty-five years. He is survived by a brother, John, and a sister, Lillian, who lived with him, and three other brothers: Ralph of the town of Unity, Fred of Yankton, S.D., and Rev. George Vaughn of Stanley. A sister, Mrs. Nellie James, died last June.
