Orth, Peter (27 Feb. 1873 - Aug. 1934)
Peter Orth, son of Mrs. John Orth of Colby, died suddenly at his home at Lugerville last week and funeral services were held Friday. The deceased was born in the town of Franklin, Kewaunee county, Feb. 27, 1873. He came to Colby with his parents fifty-three years ago and lived here many years. He is survived by his widow, Freda Hartmann Orth and seven children; his aged mother, Mrs. John Orth, and the following brothers and sisters: John Orth, Matt Orth, Conrad Orth, Colby; George Orth, town of Holton and Charles, Valley City, N.D., Mrs. Paul Tesmer, Mrs. Otto Baumgard, Mrs. Theodore Steinwand, Colby; Mrs. Kathryn McKennon, Minneapolis and Mrs. Lena Eichlepp of Phillips; also two grandchildren.
