Lynch, Eunice #2 (28 Feb. 1858 - 6 Jan. 1934)

Mrs. Eunice Lynch, formerly of Colby, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. E. H. Poate, at St. Paul where she had lived since the death of her husband, J. W. Lynch. She had been in ill health since February, 1933. Cerebral hemorrhage was the cause of her death. Funeral services were held at the Lowe Funeral home, Neillsville, Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Longenecker officiating, and internment was made in the Neillsville cemetery.

The deceased was born February 28th, 1858, in Essex county, New York state, thus reaching the age of seventy-five years and ten months. She was married to Charles Stannard at Neillsville in 1878. One son was born to this union, D. D. Stannard, of St. Paul who survives her. Mr. Stannard died in 1882. She was married to J. W. Lynch Dec. 2, 1888, at Neillsville, Wis. One daughter, Mrs. R. G. Salter of Colby was born to this union. Mr. Lynch died eight and one-half months ago. The deceased lived at Neillsville for forty years and at Colby for nine years.

Relatives attending the funeral were: Mrs. William Rakow and Mr. and Mrs. Morris Ross of Marshfield, Miss Elsie Seager and Dilbert Seager of the town of York, Mr. and Mrs. William Hurlburt and daughter, Vera, of the town of York, Mrs. E. H. Poate of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Stannard and daughter Grace, of St. Paul, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Salter of Colby, Mr. and Mrs. John Salter of Pittsville.

Colby people will remember her for her cheerful, beautiful and helpful life; her devotion to her duties; her kindness to everybody, will long linger as a fragrant memory to those who knew her well.
