Grace Irene Mildbrand was born on Dec. 23, 1930, in Medford, to Edward and Ella (nee Nelson) Mildbrand. She was raised and received her education in the Medford area and graduated from Medford High School in 1949. She attended beauty school in Eau Claire for one year and opened a beauty shop in Athens upon her graduation. She married John "Jack" W. Pribnow on May 20, 1961, at the United Methodist Church, Loyal. They resided in Loyal and she opened a beauty shop on Main Street. She sold the beauty shop in 1970. They purchased the shoe store and she operated that for a few years. After selling the shoe store, she worked at the grocery store until retiring. They moved to Cornucopia in 1990 and have resided there since. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and had many interests, but especially enjoyed playing cards, visiting casinos, her morning coffee with the gals, gardening and cooking.

She will be sadly missed by her husband, Jack Pribnow, Milladore; one daughter, Amy Pribnow (friend Rick Lechner), Vesper; one granddaughter, Denise (Dennis) Engevold, Spencer; one stepson, John (Donna) Pribnow, Stratford; two grandchildren, Cassandra Rucker and Chad Pribnow; seven step-grandchildren; one step-son-in-law, Jerry Michlig, Unity; two brothers, Jim (Sharon) Mildbrand, Greenwood, and Jack Mildbrand, Wausau; and three sisters, Marge Witt, Abbotsford, Arlene (Andy) Smith, Owen, and Judy (Jim) Howard, Hawkins.

Preceding her in death were her parents; and one step-daughter, Debra Michlig.

Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal, assisted the family with arrangements.
