Capaul, Doris M. (August 21, 1919 - July 14, 2007)

Doris M. Capaul, 87, of Alma Center died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Black River Memorial Hospital, Black River Falls.

Doris was born August 21, 1919, in Neillsville to parents Lewis and Isa (Pitts) Korth. She married Victor Capaul in Alma Center February 8, 1937, and he preceded her in death August 25, 1988.

She was employed as manager and meat cutter at the Alma Center Locker Plant for over 20 years.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Mary’s Altar Society. She also belonged to the Royal Neighbors, Jackson County Homemakers and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Doris was an avid reader. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden and canning the produce that she grew. She was a big fan of the television show, "The Price Is Right."

Doris is survived by her brother, Warren (Dorothy) Korth of St. Charles, MO; her sister, Arnita (Dallas) Winders of Kansas City, MO; and many nieces and nephews as well other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Doris M. Capaul will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Alma Center, with Reverend Jude Dioka officiating. Burial will take place in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Alma Center. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to services.

Casket bearers will be Noel Boerger, Allen Bohac, David Bohac, Richard Guyette and Michael Schroeder.

The Jensen-Modjeski Funeral Home, Hixton, is assisting the family.
