Lang, Marie (11 DEC 1865 - 12 SEP 1934)

Mrs. Peter Lang, 68, residing west of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), died Wednesday of last week following an illness of ten days duration.

She was born in Broderup, Sjolland, Denmark on Dec. 11, 1865. She came to America with her parents in the spring of 1883 and settled at Neenah, Wis. They moved to Nebraska the following year. She was married to Peter Lang, April 28, 1886. They came to Withee in 1908.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 1:30 p.m., from the home and at 2 p.m. from the Danish Church. The Rev. Mikkelsen officiated and interment was made in the Danish Cemetery.

Surviving relatives include her husband; three sons, Edwin of Longwood, Herbert of Racine and Wilford of Pueblo, Colo.; and six daughters, Mrs. Thorwald (Clara) Ammentorp of Withee, Mrs. Pete (Dagne) Madsen and Mrs. Andrew (Hilda) Smith of Owen, Mrs. T. (Sarah) Snyder of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Anna Mikkelsen of Racine, and Mrs. Harriet Rasmussen, Neenah.

A son, Alfred, preceded her in death a year ago.

Deceased leaves to mourn her death, two sisters, Mrs. Fred Sorenson of Dannebrog, Neb, Mrs. Viggo Nielsen of Wood River, Neb., and one brother, Niels Larsen of Dannebrog, Neb. One brother and two sisters preceded her in death. Other surviving relatives are 41 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
