The following newspaper story tells of the marriage of Miss Margaret Griebenow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Griebenow, former residents of this city (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), who now resides at Sierra Madre, Calif. Friends her extend best wishes.

"The church of the Ascension, Sierra Madre, was the scene of a quiet wedding, Sunday afternoon, Dec. 31, 1933, at 5:20 o’clock, when Dean Bode read the marriage rites for Miss Margaret Griebenow and Francis Dashwood Bode.

The bride, who was given away by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Griebenow of 10 East Mira Monte Av., Sierra Madre, and Mr. Bode is the son of Dean and Mrs. Arnold G.H. Bode of 45 East Laurel Av., Sierra Madre. The bride wore a tailleur in dark green wool crepe, with balck accessories, and a corsage of gardenias. The wedding was attended only by members of the families. Following the ceremony, a buffet supper was served at the home of the bride.

Mrs. Bode, a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles, is a member of the Gamma Phi Beta Sorority. She has made a name for herself as an artist and her work has been exhibited throughout the west.

Mr. Bode is a teaching fellow at the California Institute of Technology in Pasadena, and is doing research work in paleontology and geology. He is affiliated with the Sigma Xi, Honorary Research Fraternity."
