Damitz, Ruth M. (23 DEC 1933)

A quiet wedding was solemnized Saturday evening at 9 o’clock at the West Side Lutheran Parsonage at Wis. Rapids when Miss Ruth Margaret Damitz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Damitz of that city, was united in marriage to Arnold Jerome Johnson, son of Mrs. A.G. Johnson of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), Rev. E.H. Walther officiating.

The bride was attired in a rust colored gown with hat to match and carried a bouquet of talisman roses and baby chrysanthemums.

The attendants were Miss Clementine Buch of Fond du Lac and Henry Weddig of Owen, Wis.

The bridesmaid wore a gown of gold crepe and hat to march and carried a bouquet of baby chrysanthemums and tea roses.

After the wedding a dinner was served at the home of the bride and table decorations were in keeping with Christmas.

The bride is a graduate of the parochial and high schools of Wis. Rapids. She has visited in Owen on several occasions and is highly regarded by the many acquaintances she made while here. The groom is a graduate of the Owen High School and attended Marquette University. At present he is employed as pharmacist at the Whitrock & Walt Drug Store of Wis. Rapids. At one time he was employed in the Jensen Bros. Store here. Both bride and groom have the sincere good wishes of a wide circle of friends for a happy and prosperous future.

Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Weddig and Mrs. A.G. Johnson of Owen, and Miss Clementine Buch of Fond du Lac.
