Butterfield, Robert Russell (June 5, 1934 - June 14, 2007)

Robert R. Butterfield, age 73, of the Town of Reseburg, rural Thorp, passed away on June 14, 2007, at his home.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, rural Thorp, with Robert Ruprich officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.

Visitations were held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 one hour prior to services at the church.

Robert Russell Butterfield was born on June 5, 1934 in the Town of Reseburg, rural Thorp, to Lester and Bertha (Schnell) Butterfield. He attended area schools and graduated from Thorp High School. Bob worked for the Clark County Highway Dept. for 34 years where he drove truck and grader. He was united in marriage to Lorraine Schwartz on August 11, 1984 at the First Congregational Church in Owen, Wis. Lorraine later passed away on June 5, 2002. After retirement, Bob enjoyed working on his hobby farm and repairing anything that needed fixing.

He is survived by two step-daughters: Ramona Kasmierski of Withee and Rosemary Kasmierski of Boyd; eight step-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Donald Mikolanis; nephews, nieces, and many friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lorraine and one sister, Bernice Mikolanis.
