Griepentrog, Norbert (12 FEB 1933 - 31 MAY 2007)

Norbert "Nubby" Griepentrog, 74, Spencer, died Thursday, May 31, 2007, at his home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. The Rev. Robert Olson officiated. Burial was in the West Spencer Cemetery. Pallbearers were Dick O’Brien, Virgil Reckner, Todd Hildebrandt, Kelly Kutina, Tyler Griepentrog and Nathan Griepentrog.

Norbert Griepentrog was born Feb. 12, 1933, to Darrel and Frances (nee Neumann) Griepentrog. He graduated from Spencer High School. He married Janice Bymers on April 25, 1953, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spencer. He worked as a fabricator at Felker Brothers for 32 years. He also was a referee for 25 years. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, bowling and going to the casino. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Nubby is survived by his wife, Janice, Spencer; his children. Judene (Randy) Andrew, Spencer, Gregory (Irene) Griepentrog, Marshfield, Scott (Jennifer) Griepentrog, Spencer, and Jeffery (Jayne) Griepentrog, Stratford; two sisters, Bernadine (Reiny) Willner, Janesville, and Eunice (Willard) Anderson, Marshfield; one brother, Wilmer (Patricia) Griepentrog, Spencer; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents.

Community Funeral Home, Spencer, assisted the family with arrangements.
