Scheer, Wayne Alvin (20 June 1938 - 18 June 2007)

Unity, Wis. - Wayne Alvin Scheer, 68, of Unity, died Monday, June 18, 2007, in the Emergency Room of Saint Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.

Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, June 22, 2007 at Community Funeral Home, Colby. The Rev. Dale Wilford will officiate.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until time of services Friday at the funeral home.

Wayne was born June 20, 1938, in the town of Green Grove, Clark County, to Orland and Irene (Duvall) Scheer. He served his country with the U.S. Marine Corps. Wayne and Jane Evenson were married Oct. 20, 1962. He worked for Wick Homes in Spencer and for Weyerhaeuser Corp. in Marshfield for 13 years. He loved hunting and fishing, vacationing on small trips, and loved living with his children and family.

Wayne is survived by his wife Jane of Unity; his daughter, Gale Ann (Chris) Buersken of Marshfield and son, Kurt Orland (Gail) Moen) Scheer of Unity; his grandchildren Dustin (Cassie Little) Bodendorfer, Shannon (Jeremy Schaefer) Bodendorfer, Chelse Bodendorfer, Dalton Scheer, Dillion Scheer, and Darian Scheer; one great-grandson Ty Lee Schaefer; and two sisters, Joanne (Ken) Kasper of Unity and Sheryl Hamilton of Colby.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
