WILMA J. MILLER

Wilma J. Miller, age 78, of Merrillan, died Saturday, May 26, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer. A full obituary will appear in next week’s paper.

Wilma J. Miller, age 78, of Merrillan, died Saturday, May 26, 2007 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer.

Wilma Miller was born on August 3, 1928 in the township of Pine Valley, Clark County to George F. and Naomi L. (Cook) Geisler. She was united in marriage to William Tennant and they had six children. He passed away in 1979. Several years later, she married John Miller. After a brief marriage, he was killed in a car accident. She remained in her home in Fairchild where she worked for several years before moving to Merrillan.

Wilma is survived by her children, Diane Dougherty, of Black River Falls; Frances Parker, of Humbird; Melinda Sanders, of Neillsville; and Allen Tennant, of Merrillan; two sisters, Frances (Harland) Larson, of Neillsville, and Jean Stafford, of Eau Claire; one brother, George (Sue) Geisler, of Merrillan; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Naomi Geisler; two sons, Michael and William Tennant; a grandson, Patrick Sanders; a sister, Bernice Stoddard; and a niece, Linda Stoddard.

A memorial luncheon will be held for Wilma at 1 p.m., Saturday, June 16th at the Methodist Church in Merrillan.
