Stroota Hardware Co., Makes Good

Those who knew Mr. Stroota when he was in Abbotsford will be interested in the following article clipped from this week’s issue of the Marathon Times, where Mr. Stroota is in the hardware business.

Not so long ago, Marathon City awoke one morning to find a new enterprise in its midst. Albert Strooda was the name and the line, hardware.

Albert Stroota hailed from Abbotsford, where he was engaged in a like business. He chose Marathon because in his opinion, he saw a future here. He was accompanied by his son Arnold, and a while later was joined by his son Oscar.

Their first location was in the V. W. Gage building. This they soon outgrew and were compelled to acquire more spacious quarters. Business had been one of the steady and continual growth, until at the present time they rank as on of the leaders of our village. They aim to give good service and to give the customer a square deal; in other words, they believe that a satisfied customer means more to them than a large profit and a dissatisfied customer. They maintain that if any article they carry proves unsatisfactory, they will gladly make a refund of the original purchase price.

Strootas are believers of consistent advertising. They believe it is necessary to bring their articles consistently before the public, giving newspaper advertising the preference. Yes, this is all sound logic, because we all must sooner or later realize that n order to sell, we must bring our articles to the attention of the buyer.
