Bacon, Nettie (Marriage - 3 July 1883)

Sturdevant - Bacon - At the residence of the bride’s mother in this city on Tuesday, July 3, 1883, by Rev. J. F. Thompson, Mr. Lafayette M. Sturdevant to Miss Nettie Bacon, both of this city.

Both of the above parties are well known in this city and vicinity and are highly respected. Both have many friends, all whom wish them joy in their voyage over the matrimonial sea. Mr. Sturdevant spent his boyhood in the town of Pine Valley, graduated from Neillsville High School and spent some time teaching through the county. He then entered the study of law, and since his admittance to the bar has practiced in this place where he is known as one of the squarest dealing young men of the town, and has many warm friends. Miss Bacon is well known and is a general favorite in society circles. The couple started immediately after the ceremony on a bridal trip to Berlin, Wis., where a sister of the bride lives.
