Bauer, Frederick C. (December 1, 1935 - April 25, 2007)

Frederick C. Bauer, age 71, passed away Wednesday, April 25, 2007, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, after a short, courageous battle with lung and bone cancer.

He was born December 1, 1935, in Black River Falls, to George and Julianna (nee: Taubel) Bauer. He spent his early life and received his education in Black River Falls. On Dec. 28, 1963, in West Bend, he was united in marriage to Linda Wren, daughter of Louise Wren of Neillsville, Wis. Following marriage, they resided in Racine. They had been residents of Raymond since 1965.

Frederick worked as a Machinist and in 2001, retired from Watlow in Richmond, IL. He was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and St. Vincent De Paul. He enjoyed gardening and working at the Food Pantry. He was a Scout Master for 10 years and was an avid Packer fan.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda Bauer; children, Debra (Michael) Foley, of Waterford; Daniel (Berna) Bauer, of Chula Vista, CA; David (Pam) Bauer, of Raymond; Don (Amy) Bauer, of Franklin; and Diane (Andrew) Horstman, of Raymond; grandchildren, Nick, Mandy, and Dana Bauer, Kaitlyn and Kristen Foley, Tristan and Max Bauer, Madison, Alex, and Ryan Horstman, and Megan, Matthew, and Baby Three Bauer. He is further survived by one brother, Steve (Wanda) Bauer, of Manito, IL; and by a sister, Lee Gullickson, of Las Vegas, NV.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four sisters, Julie, Ann, Mary and Wilma; and by three brothers, George, Frank and Louis.

A mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Louis Catholic Church in Caledonia on Saturday, April 28, 2007. Rev. Mark Danczyk officiated. Burial was in the Parish cemetery.
