Allds, Leona (16 JUN 1926)

The following is taken from the Wausau Record Herald and is an account of the wedding of Miss Leona Allds, a former Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.) girl.

Miss Leona Mae Allds, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Allds and Harvey Lee Rifleman were quietly married at 4 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, June 16th, 1926, at the Presbyterian parsonage by the Rev. P.W. Erickson. Miss Ann Laursen, in intimate friend of the bride, and the bride’s brother, Ellis Allds of Milwaukee, attended the couple.

The bride was dressed in tan Romaine crepe and carried an arm bouquet of June roses. Her bridesmaid was attired in the ashes of rose crepe Romaine and carried a mixed bouquet.

A five course dinner was served at 6 o’clock at the home of the bride’s parents, 1038 South Sixth Av., to immediate relatives and friends.

Mr. and Mrs. Rifleman have departed for a week’s trip to Chicago and Milwaukee. They will reside in Waupaca where the bridegroom is employed by the Wausau Electric Service Co., and will be at home to friends at 532 West Fulton St., after June 22nd.

The bride’s many Greenwood friends join the Gleaner in extending congratulations.
