Loos, Laura (26 APR 1924)

A beautiful wedding took place at the home of Mrs. Emma Loos at six o’clock last Saturday evening when her daughter, Miss Laura became the wife of Mr. John L. Krokus of Minneapolis, Minn., Rev. O. Vriesen officiating, it being a ring ceremony.

The house was beautifully decorated with ferns and red and white carnations.

The bride wore a light tan traveling suit and was attended by Mrs. Wm. Volk. The groom wore a suit of conventional black and was attended by Mr. Wm. Volk.

Immediately after the wedding a bounteous dinner was served to the near relatives and friends who were present.

The bride is one of Greenwood’s (Clark Co., Wis.) well known and highly respected young ladies. She has lived in Greenwood for many years and was a favorite among all.

The groom, although a stranger here, is highly thought of in his home town. He is a master mechanic at the Soo railroad yards at Minneapolis and is also a veteran of the World War.

The young couple departed for Minneapolis on the evening of their marriage and went direct to their new home, which the groom had prepared for them at 814 24th Ave.

The Gleaner joins their many friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for many years of happy wedded life.
