Rusch, William A. (3 NOV 1876 - 17 MAR 1939)

William August Rusch, prominent Loyal Township farmer passed away at his home north of Loyal at 5:30 A. M., Friday, March 17th.

The deceased was born at Reedsville, Wis., on Nov. 3, 1876 and was baptized Dec. 2, 1888 in the St. John and St. James Lutheran Church at Reedsville.

On Dec. 21, 1898 he was married to Mary Moldenhauer at Liberty, Wis. Thirty-four years ago they moved to Clark County and settled on the farm a mile and a half north of Loyal. The deceased was a successful farmer and was active in both town and country affairs for many years. He was Township Chairman of the Town of Loyal for a number of years and was chairman of the Congregation of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church here for many years.

Mr. Rusch suffered a stroke in June, 1935 and had not been able to take care of his farm work since that time.

Leaving to mourn his loss are his wife, nine daughters, Mrs. Emil Buse, Loyal; Mrs., Edwin Leeborg, Evanston, Ill.; Mrs. Carl Blaubach, Loyal; Miss Lorraine Rusch, Wausau; Mrs. G. S. Erickson, Wausau; Mrs. Larry Dawson, San Francisco, California. Miss Helen Rusch at home; Miss Marion Rusch, Appleton; Mrs. Donald Rothenbach, Oshkosh. Also two sons, Harold and Oscar both at home., and six grandchildren. Two step-sister; Mrs. Alex Worthing, Holton, Mich.; and Mrs. Hans Madison of Minneapolis also survive. Two daughters preceded him in death, Paula, passing away 15 years ago and Selma, an infant.

Funeral services were held on Monday, March 20th at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 at the Lutheran Church. Interment was made in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Pall bearers were Albert Schultz, Louis Stange, Ed. Haslow, Wm. Deuermeyer, Albert Luchterhand and Herman Stange.
