Stall, Lyle (28 Aug 1924 - 11 Apr 2007)

Lyle Stall, 82, died Wednesday, April 11, 2007, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.

Funeral services were held April 16 at Luther Valley Church, Town of Newark with Pastor Mary Froiland presiding. Burial was in Luther Valley Cemetery.

Lyle was born on August 28th, 1924, in rural Colby, the son of Arland and Pearl (Walker) Stall. He attended school in rural Colby and graduated form Colby, Wis. High School in 1942.

He moved to Rock County after graduation and in March 1946, to the Peterson Farm in Plymouth Township.

Lyle married Lorene Heyerdayl on February 5th, 1949, in Luther Valley Church.

He was a dairy farmer all his life and owned a purebred Holstein herd and owned his own farm.

Lyle was active in church and community affairs. He was a member of Luther Valley Church, where he was a Sunday School Teacher, Deacon and choir member.

He was a longtime Plymouth 4-H dairy leader and was secretary of the Associated Milk Producers. Lyle also served as secretary and treasurer of the Orfordville District Fire Department for 20 years and was a member of the Rock County Civil War Roundtable and Gideon International.

Lyle enjoyed music, especially religious and classical.

He is survived by his wife Lorene, Orfordville; sons Laurence (Judy), Milton and Curtiss, Janesville and David, Madison; a twin sister, Lyla May Rasmussen, Madison; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Lyle was preceded in death by his parents.
