Anderson, Carl (19 Feb. 1874 - 18 Sept. 1948)

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock at the Anderson home and at 2 o’clock from the Trinity Lutheran Church, Unity, for Carl Anderson, 74, who passed away Saturday morning at 4:45 o’clock at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. Mr. Anderson had been in good health until last Thursday when he suffered a stroke and was taken to the hospital. He suffered another stroke Friday.

Rev. J. A. Olson officiated at the services and burial was made in the church cemetery. The body lay in state at the Anderson home north of Spencer in the Town of Brighton until the time of services.

Mr. Anderson was born in Sweden February 19, 1874, and came to the United States in 1880. He had been living with his brother, August, who passed away July 3, 1948, since the death of his wife October 30, 1929.

Surviving are two children, Mrs. Marvin Carlson, Unity and Victor Anderson, Romeo.

Funeral services were conducted last Tuesday afternoon for Carl Anderson, 74, who died September 18. The Rev. J. A. Olson officiated at the rites at the Anderson home and at Trinity Lutheran Church. "It Is Well With My Soul" and "Beyond The Sunset" were sung by the choir and internment took place in the Lutheran Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers were James Griffith, Ray Tack, Ed Klein, Herman Seefeldt, Arthur Boock, Walter Neumann, Charles Haslow, Jonas Ayer and Willard Becherer; and active pallbearers, nephews of Mr. Anderson, were Delmer and Edwin Helsten, Walter and Maurice Anderson, and Alfred and John Johnson.

Anderson and son, Andrew, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Anderson, Marshfield; Mrs. Esther Clark, Mrs. Ed. Kolbeck, and Mrs. Fred Kimball, Wausau; Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Anderson, Waupaca; and Mr. and Mrs. William Michels, Marshfield.
