Jordan, Genevieve J. (Marriage - 17 Jun. 1948)

Miss Genevieve Jordan, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jordan of Unity, was married to Charles F. Seville, son of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Seville Sr., Rosedale, Ind., during a ceremony at St. Mary’s Catholic Rectory, Colby, on June 17. The Rev. N. B. Beschta read the service.

Mrs. Aaron A. Kiefer, Colby, sister of the bride, was matron of honor and John W. Seville Jr., Rosedale, Ind., brother of the groom, served as best man. Other attendants were the junior Mrs. Seville, as bridesmaid, Mr. Kiefer as groomsman and little Rosemarie Jordan, sister of the bride, as flower girl.

The bride wore a white satin gown, edged with lace, and a veil which was caught to a headband of swansonia. She carried a bouquet of white lilies.

The matron of honor wore a white marquisette formal and she carried a bouquet of pink and white carnations. The flower girl was dressed in white satin and carried a basket of pink and white flowers.

Dinner was served at the Hotel Charles and a 2:30 P.M. reception was held at the home of the bride’s parents.

Mrs. Seville is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. Her husband was graduated from Indiana State Teachers College and received his Master of Philosophy degree from the University of Wisconsin. He is doing graduate work at the University of Indiana.

The Register joins their many local friends in extending congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.
