Luther, Otto E. (19 Jun. 1888 - 27 Mar. 1971)

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church for Otto E. Luther, 82, of 313 Parkview Terrace, who died of an apparent heart attack at his home at 8 p.m. Saturday.

The Rev. T. P. Bradtke, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in Hillside Cemetery. Visitations may be made at the Hansen Chapel until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday and then at the church.

Mr. Luther was born June 19, 1888, in Loyal, where he received his education. He was married July 9, 1918, in Marshfield, to Ella Mellenthin, who preceded him in death Dec. 5, 1961.

The couple made their home until 1925 in Loyal, where he was employed as a cheesemaker. Then they came to the McMillan area where he operated the Cloverdale Cheese Factory. In 1946 they came to Marshfield, where he had been employed in landscaping, until his retirement.

Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Chester (Angeline) Seehafer, Mrs. Hugo (Marcella) Lau, Mrs. William (Berdeen) Stroetz, and Mrs. Kenneth (Betty) Wills, all of Marshfield; a son, Frederick Luther, Marshfield; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Luther, Spokane, Wash.; John Luther, Wausau; and Emil Luther, Tomahawk; and a sister, Mrs. Albert Foelske, Spencer.

He was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, two brothers, and three sisters.
