Morgal, Katherine (24 Dec. 1882 - 19 Feb. 1966)

Willard - Mrs. Katherine Morgal, 83, Waukegan, Ill., a former resident of Willard, died of pneumonia Saturday morning at a hospital in Kenosha.

Services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Hill Funeral Home in Greenwood, and at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. The Rev. William Nikolas will officiate, and burial will be made in the Holy Family cemetery.

The body will repose at the Hill Funeral Home from this afternoon until time of services. A general rosary service will be conducted there at 8 o’clock tonight.

The former Katherine Rukovec was born Dec. 24, 1882, in Yugoslavia. Her marriage to John Morgal, who preceded her in death in August 1947, took place in 1898. The Morgal family came to the Willard area from Ely, Minn., in 1909, and settled on a farm southwest of Greenwood.

After the death of Mr. Morgal, she resided in Willard for a time, then going to Waukegan, Ill.

Survivors are four daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Marie) Sheppard, Mrs. Matt (Jenny) Velcover, and Mrs. Stanley (Amelia) Mliner, all of Waukegan, Ill.; and Mrs. Robert (Rose) Henchman, Cardiff, Calif.; a son, Joseph Morgal, Houston, Texas; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
