Fink, Carl (1 OCT 1870 - 10 FEB 1933)

Funeral services were held Monday at the Christ Lutheran Church at Abbotsford, Wis. for Carl Fink, who passed away at his home at Abbotsford last Friday. Rev. J. Brandt officiated at the services. Flower bearers were Fern Leitzke and four grandchildren, Ethel, Evelyn and Laverne Kauffman, and Lucille Fink. Burial took place in the Abbotsford Cemetery with John Hoge, Edmund Thede, Alex Thede, William Ulrich, George Reil and August Scheuler acting as pallbearers.

Carl Christian Fink was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 1, 1870 and was 62 years, 4 months and 9 days old at time of death. In September of 1883 he moved to Clark County and settled on a farm near Curtiss, Wis. On March 21, 1897 he was united in marriage to Miss Bertha Prange at Curtiss, Wis. Eleven children were born to this happy union, five of them preceding their father in death. In 1926 the Fink’s moved to Abbotsford where they have since resided. Besides his wife, Mr. Fink leaves six children, Sarah, Goldine and Gilbert, at home; Dorothy, Mrs. Louis Kauffman and Christ Fink, Abbotsford; and Helene, Mrs. Forest Stone, Unity; one sister, Miss Clara Fink, Boyd; one brother, Louis Fink, Colby; and 7 grandchildren to mourn his loss.

Mr. Fink was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church and leaves many friends who will greatly miss him. The Clarion joins the friends in offering sincerest sympathy to the mourning ones.

Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were Louis Fink and daughter, Mabel, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Walter Fink, Green Grove; Mr. and Mrs. John Hoge and daughter, Mrs. Emma Riedeman of Curtiss; Mrs. Godfrey Baumgart, Unity; and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hintz, town of Holton.
