Fryer, Sarah (31 March 1866 - 17 Oct. 1934)

Sarah McMullen was born March 31, 1866, at LaGrange, Wis., and passed away at her home in Tomah Wednesday morning, Oct. 17, 1934. She was united in marriage to William S. Fryer Dec. 31, 1885, and is survived by her husband; one son, Ernest John Fryer, of Humbird; and two daughters, Myrtle Olive Boynton, of Minneapolis, and Mildred Irene Speer, of Aberdeen, So. Dak. There ware also left to mourn four sisters, Mary Jane Reckie, Euphemia McMullen, Rosina Gilson and Anan Gilson, all of Tomah, and two grandchildren, Fern Boynton of Minneapolis, and Lottie Ruth Fryer, besides a host of other relatives and friends.

In 1903, the family moved from Tomah to a farm about four miles southwest of Humbird, residing here until the spring of 1916, when Mr. and Mrs. Fryer and youngest daughter returned to Tomah, where they have since resided.

The funeral services were held in the Congregational church at Tomah, Friday afternoon, Rev. Baxter officiating. Interment was in the cemetery in that city.

Those from here attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Fryer and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Will Ringrose, Mrs. Alice Moore, and Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Moore.

Mrs. Fryer has been an active and faithful member of the Congregational Church of Tomah for about thirty-three years. She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters, and members of that order conducted their service at the grave. The memory of her loving kindness will long be remembered by her many friends.

God has called our loved one home, Her care and pain is o’er. For her the gain - for us the loss, ‘Til we meet to part no more.
