Holubetz, Wilhelmine (13 May 1885 - 11 Aug. 1947)

Mrs. Ferdinand Holubetz, 62, who lived on a farm east of Colby before moving to Unity four years ago, died at 1 p.m. Monday at the Mendota State Hospital, where she had been taken last Friday. A heart ailment and complications caused her death. She was ill at her home 1 ½ weeks before being hospitalized.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon (today) by the Rev. J. A. Olson of Trinity Lutheran Church. At 1:15 o’clock a service will be held at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, where the body lay in state since Tuesday evening, and at 2 o’clock, another service will be held at the church. Burial will be made in the Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Holubetz, the former Wilhelmine Schillinger, was born May 13, 1885 and was married in Vienna in 1907 to Ferdinand Holubetz. A year after their marriage they came to America.

Surviving besides her husband are four sons, William, Marshfield; Henry, Wausau; Hugo, Portland, Oregon; and Victor, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and two daughters, Miss Olga, at home; and Mrs. Edmund (Hilda) Dwyer, Chicago, and 14 grandchildren.

Her parents and four brothers preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Friday for Mrs. Ferdinand Holubetz, 62, who died at Mendota, Monday, August 11. Services were conducted by Rev. J. A. Olson at 1:15 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, and at 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church. Burial took place at the Lutheran cemetery.

Pallbearers were Carl Willecke, Godfrey Baumgardt, Steve Bezak, Otto Erickson, Ferdinand Swaboda, and James Urana?.

The choir consisting of Mrs. Fred Loughead, Mrs. J. A. Olson, Mrs. Ansel Messer, Mrs. Walter Wieland, and Mrs. Alfred Johnson, accompanied by Mrs. Henry Binning, sang "Beyond the Sunset" "We Shall Sleep But Not Forever" and "Nearer My God to Thee". The four children of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holubetz sang "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder" and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again".

The out of town relatives and friends who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Edmond Dwyer and children, Mrs. Louis Bartos and Ferdinand Swaboda, Chicago, and daughter Elizabeth, Colby; Hugo Holubetz, Portland, Ore.; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Holubetz and Bonnie Sue, Fort Wayne, Ind.; Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Schillinger, Mrs. Josephine Schillinger and son Silverius, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Schilling, Edgar; Mr. and Mrs. Hilbert Uttecht, Milan; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Holubetz and children, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Schorer and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Merwin, Wausau; Mrs. Ferdinand Schillinger and daughter, Delores, Stratford; John Chitwood, Granton; and Mrs. Ida Norton, Mr. and Mrs. George Tesmer, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Tesmer, Mr. and Mrs. William Holubetz and children, and Otto Schillinger, Marshfield.
