Clark, Mabel (5 Dec. 1869 - 20 Nov. 1946)

Funeral rites were held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Lulloff Funeral Home, Colby, for Mrs. Mabel Clark, 77, formerly of Unity, who died November 20. Old age complications caused her death. The Rev. Floyd Fahlgren, Neillsville, had charge of the rites and burial was made in Brighton cemetery.

Mrs. Clark, nee Sheldon, was born at Dundee, Fond du Lac County, Dec. 5, 1869, and was married at Spencer in 1887 to D. A. Clark, who preceded her in death.

She came to Clark County when a young girl and with the exception of short intervals she had spent her entire life in Unity and vicinity.

Mrs. Clark, a member of the Rebekah Lodge, is survived by a son, J. A. Clark, Wausau; five grandchildren; two brothers, Oren Sheldon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and Chester Sheldon, Wausau; a half-sister, Mrs. Emily Hollenteiner, Seattle, Washington; and three sisters, Mrs. Leida Stock, Seattle, Washington, Mrs. May Severson, Greenwood; and Mrs. J. E. (Mary) Fuller, Unity.

Her husband, three daughters, a sister and a brother preceded her in death.
