Boxrucker, Martha (15 NOV 1932)

A beautiful quiet wedding took place Tuesday morning at 7:15 at the St. Louis Catholic Rectory when Miss Martha Boxrucker, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anton Boxrucker, became the bride of Mr. William Peissig, son of Mrs. Anna Peissig. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. P. Pitzenberger and Miss Selma Boxrucker and Harold Ludwig acted as attendants.

The bride was beautifully attired in a brown crepe dress, with hat, slippers and hose to match. The groom and his attendant wore dark brown suits.

Wedding dinner and supper were served at the home of the bride’s parents to the immediate friends and relatives. About 50 covers were laid for guests. In the evening a free wedding dance was given at the Dorchester Opera House with a large crowd in attendance.

The happy couple left the following day for a honeymoon trip to Indiana where they will visit for about two weeks. Upon their return they will make their home on the Peissig farm where they will live until spring. The groom has a chicken farm.

Both young folks are very well known and admired in this vicinity and they have a host of friends who join with us in wishing them many years of happiness and prosperity in their life’s journey.
