Vetter, Anna R. (26 AUG 1847 - 29 FEB 1932)

Dorchester (Clark Co., Wis.) people were saddened to learn of the sudden death of Mrs. Adolph Vetter, who passed away Monday morning at her farm home a mile north of the village. Death was due to liver trouble from which she had suffered for the past week. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at 2:30 at the St. Peter Lutheran Church with Rev. J. Brandt officiating. Interment will take place in the Dorchester Memorial Cemetery.

Anna Rosalina Haemlich was born Aug. 26, 1847, in Prauszan, Germany, and was 84 years, 7 months and 3 days old at time of death. When arriving in this country she settled in Lafayette County, Ind., and was confirmed in the Lutheran Church there on March 24, 1861. On Dec. 14, 1866, she was united in marriage to Adolph Vetter in Newton County, Ind. To this happy union nine children were born, four of whom died in early childhood, and William, who passed away on Aug. 22, 1928.

On May 2nd, 1880 the Vetters moved to Dorchester and purchased an 80 acre farm one mile north of town, where they have since resided. Mr. Vetter preceded her in death, passing away Feb. 21st, 1921.

Mrs. Vetter leaves four daughters to mourn her loss, Mrs. Frank Tepolt, Tina, Minnie and Alma Vetter, and one grandchild, Mrs. Emil Schneider of Riverhead, Long Island, N.Y.

Mrs. Vetter was a very quiet, unassuming woman, well liked by those who knew her best. She will be greatly missed by her loved ones and her host of friends, who join us in offering sincerest sympathy to the bereaved ones.
